A bit about me

I completed a degree in Fashion and gained extensive experience working at Grupo Malwee for over 6 years, one of the largest textile companies in Brazil. This experience gave me a practical understanding of business relations and processes while I navigated the fashion world as a Planning Analyst. A few years later, I joined an exchange program in the US and found myself in an unfamiliar place where I didn’t know anyone. This alien journey was a life-altering experience I will never forget; it taught me to be adaptable to changes, resilient to adversities, and be self-reliant. Most importantly, this exchange program provided me with an invaluable opportunity to grow as a person as I was exposed to other cultures and met au pairs from all over the world.

After completing the exchange program, I returned to Grupo Malwee in Brazil in a new position as an Outsourcing Analyst for Imported Product Development. This opportunity enabled me to work closely with International Suppliers, Buyers, Marketing and Logistics teams. It broadened my horizons as the job demanded critical analysis, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and innovative ideas to handle the fast pace of the fashion industry. Although this job was important for my development in business, I was fortunate enough to meet my life partner during my au pair year in the US which drove me to pack up my life in Brazil, leave my family, and start a new phase of my journey. This transition to America also encouraged me to acquire a new degree and pursue my career goals. Today, I am proud to say that I recently graduated with a Marketing degree from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.
